Honestly, I thought this was worth a reblog. This is a terrifying story and is a true signal that nothing is secure if there is a human element in the chain. If you read the story you will see that the problem was actually a simple human error in not detecting some social engineering. Hopefully Apple learn and put some better safeguards in place to prevent this stuff.

And for the record, I use two-factor authentication with my Google account, and I highly recommend that you do the same.
